"Papi, that's what I called my father. When I was a kid, he used to take me out to the farm a lot on daddy weekends. It was a sort of a refuge for him. It was where he escaped from the people, from the capital, where he taught many, many children to ride horses, where he looked after his animals, where he loved this place the most in the world. This was him, this was HSH Riding Stables, this was Hubi's farm.

Unfortunately, for family reasons, we didn't speak for fifteen years. We let lies, difference, judgement, lack of acceptance and pride tear us apart.

We lost 15 years of our lives together. I was a grown man and he was an uncle when we found each other, he was probably already seriously ill, we just didn't know it yet. When we met he said the 3 things I have missed my whole life: I missed you, I am proud of you and I love you. I was 35 here, that's when I became a full man, that's when I became a real dad.

We held each other for the last week as if nothing else had happened. Then nothing mattered but the immense love. His last wish was for us to come out here. And then on the last night, his last words were "Life is beautiful."

And that became my life motto. I vowed to make the place the light she always wanted it to be.

This story begins where life ends, and in the eternal cycle of things, at the end of life, something new is born. And so Papi Farm and Restaurant became a story of a father and son. I have become the one who creates a new legacy from his father's legacy and I will leave it to mine, because in the meantime I have become a father, my little girl is sitting on my arm and I am Papi to her.

What you see here now is a real legacy, one of the most beautiful gifts of my life, which will soon be opened to you, so that the immense love that lives in us from this story may live on in you and nourish many souls. Anyway, anyway...

The stables will become a garden centre and a restaurant. My father's living space becomes a guest space, the best boxes become a show kitchen, and the riding rooms become a work space. That's how I translated his world into mine, that's how Papi will continue to shine.

I have entrusted this land to a wonderful man. Gábor Orosz is a chef and slowly becoming a farmer now, who takes care of and runs the property in a family bond with the rest of our team. Our hearts and souls are in it, I'm quite sure you will be one of the jewels of the Danube Bend, Papi.

We will open soon, we look forward to welcoming you back with love!

Hubert, just like my father.
